1905: 1st ascension race in the Eiffel Tower !

This year will take place the 6th edition of the Vertical of the Eiffel Tower. An opportunity to make a bit of history... Did you know that? The Iron Lady hosted its first race in 1905!

On November 26, 1905, the Eiffel Tower, which was the highest structure in the world at that time, hosted the first recorded tower race in history. On that day, cyclist Eugène Forestier was the fastest in 3:12 to climb the 729 steps leading up to the second platform of the tower. 

Forestier set the tone... In 1906, France's best running and cycling athletes came together with a single goal in mind: to beat his record!

On March 11th, we will therefore continue to perpetuate this tradition to offer a unique experience to participants and an exceptional fight!
